ARE BRAKE LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS THE SAME?

They serve several purposes, including making the vehicle visible from behind and indicating the width and position on the road. 

Brake lights, however, illuminate when the driver applies the brakes. They are brighter than the tail lights and alert other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down or stopping. 

Many modern vehicles use a single housing for tail lights and brake lights. In these cases, the tail light is always on, and the brake light illuminates when the driver applies the brakes. At the same time, some vehicles use separate lights for both. 

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TAIL LIGHTS?

IS IT DIFFICULT TO INSTALL TAIL LIGHTS?

STEPS FOR INSTALLING TAIL LIGHTS

Upcoming steps are general guidelines, and the specific steps for installing tail lights may vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle. Always refer to the vehicle manual or a professional mechanic for instructions. Here are some steps for installing your tail lights: 

GATHER TOOLS AND MATERIALS: 

Ensure you have all the necessary tools and materials before you begin. This typically includes a screwdriver or socket set, replacement bulbs, and the new tail light assembly. 

REMOVE THE OLD TAIL LIGHT: 

Open the trunk or liftgate and locate the screws or fasteners holding the tail light assembly. Use a screwdriver or socket set to remove these screws, then gently pull the tail light away from the vehicle.

DISCONNECT THE WIRING: 

Once the tail light assembly is removed, you will need to disconnect the wiring harness. This is typically done by gently twisting or pulling the wiring connector away from the tail light. 

INSTALL THE NEW TAIL LIGHT: 

Line up the new tail light assembly with the holes where the old one was located, then use the screwdriver or socket set to secure it. Use the same screws and fasteners you removed from the old tail light. 

RECONNECT THE WIRING: 

Connect the wiring harness to the new tail light assembly by gently pushing or twisting the connector into place.

TEST THE NEW TAIL LIGHT:

REPEAT FOR THE OTHER SIDE:
